The stars were out in their artistic, weirdest best at the annual New York Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on May 6.
Along with film stars and fashion icons, sports stars and their better halves also showed off their whacky creations on the pink carpet.
Former World No 1 tennis star Serena Williams, who came in with her husband Alexis Ohanian, looked smashing in a Versace number that she teamed up with a pair of neon Nike sneakers.
Her husband, 36-year-old Alexis, wore a white tuxedo with black pants and a bow tie to the fund-raising event.
Here's a couple who outshone everyone!
Former professional America football player, Alex Rodriguez walked in with fiancee Jennifer Lopez and the couple were glowing not just from the joy of their recent engagement but from their costumes.
JLo, making her 11th appearance at the Gala, wore a Versace gown that was dripping in diamonds, while A-Rod wore a lilac colored tuxedo jacket. He also had some bling on him -- a Harry Winston Ocean Biretrograde white gold watch and zalium-and-diamond shirt studs.
Russian tennis star Maria Sharapova came hand-in-hand with rumoured boyfriend Alexander Gilkes. Gilkes, a British businessman, is known to be a close friend of Britain's Prince William.

Among other sports persons at the Met Gala were reigning Formula Champion Lewis Hamilton. Known for his sharp sense of style, the Briton did not disappoint as he wore a suit with metallic design. Eye catching!
Another sports star present at the Met Ball was American Football Star Tom Brady. The quarter-back came to the charity event along with supermodel wife Gisele Bundchen. This couple is another regular at the annual gala.
