People magazine has named former England football player David Beckham as its Sexiest Man Alive for 2015.
Beckham achieved stardom after he began playing for Manchester United at the age of 18. He also played for Real Madrid in Spain and later joined the Los Angeles Galaxy in 2007.
"It's a huge honor," Beckham said after being named the Sexiest Man. "And I'm very pleased to accept," he added.
The 40-year-old star has made hearts melt for decades. He is used to being named the Sexiest Sportsman but he wasn't so sure he deserved the title of Sexiest Man Alive for 2015. "I never feel that I'm an attractive, sexy person. "I mean I like to wear nice clothes and nice suits and look and feel good, but I don't ever think of myself that way," he told People magazine.
Beckham was also named the world's best underwear model.
The retired soccer player has been crowned the champion by fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger as he believes the famous star can pull off the seductive look in minimal clothing.
The English Football Hall of Famer is married to Victoria Beckham, a former Spice Girl and current fashion designer and model; they have four children together.
"My son (Brooklyn) was the one who was like, 'Are you sure it's not me that's meant to be there today?'' he joked.
