Maria Sharapova is known to live life to the fullest.
Her ranking dropped to number 6 in the WTA charts following her loss to Serena Williams in the Australian Open semi-finals last week, but that hasn’t dimmed the light in the Russian player’s heart.
Always high-spirited, Sharapova decided to show the world her interest in taking up a new challenge.
In a picture posted on her Twitter page, the Russian tennis star is seen trying her hand at rhythmic gymnastics. And, by her own admission, she did not match up to her expectations.
“After watching the rhythmic gymnasts practicing, I tried and didn't succeed,” posted Sharapova on her Twitter handle along with the picture.
Some years ago Sharapova revealed in an interview that her dream was to become a gymnast.
'I always loved gymnastics, especially rhythmic gymnastics, as it’s so beautiful and I always wanted to be a rhythmic gymnast,' she had said then.
Let’s just say, Sharapova should stick to tennis for the time-being.
