With his team winning the I-League title for the fourth time, Dempo Sports Club coach Armando Colaco said what makes his team unique was the "warmth and affection" shared by the players.
"Even if we lose a match, we go home happy. We don't fight or grumble. That's the beauty in Dempo and that is why the players have stayed with me. While other teams change their players and coaches, Dempo has been unique in this regard, we have loyalty," Colaco said after beating Shillong Lajong FC 1-0 in Shillong to seal the title.
"We are proud of the boys who have given their best. The title is a great honour and a great privilege for us," he said.
He said the main man to be appreciated for the feat is the club's chairman Shrinivas Dempo.
"Even if we lose, he (chairman) never asks a single question. He has given me full freedom," Colaco said.
On Sunday's match, Colaco said, "The refereeing was the best I have seen in this season. They had good control despite being under pressure."
