Indian rower Swarn Singh Virk ended his London Olympics campaign in 16th place after finishing fourth in a minor placings race in the men's single sculls event.

He clocked 7:29.66 secs in the six-rower 13th to 18th positions race at the Eton Dorney Rowing Centre.
He was second at the end of the 500m mark but lost steam after that and ended up fourth in the 2-km race.
In the men's lightweight double sculls, Sandeep Kumar and Manjeet Singh will compete against the Egyptian team of Mohamed Nofel and Omar Emira on Saturday to decide who takes the wooden spoon in the event.
