Soumyajit Ghosh

Soumyajit Ghosh edged out stalwarts like Sharath Kamal and Anthony Amalraj to book a berth to the London Games.

This Siliguri lad became the youngest Indian paddler to join the Indian contingent at the Olympics. An impressive performance in the Asian Olympic qualification tournament sealed a place.

Women's singles

Ankita Das

She is the youngest and only Indian paddler to qualify for the Olympics. The Siliguri girl registered a hard-fought victory over her senior Indian counterpart K Shamini in the South Asian qualifiers to seal the berth.
