Auxerre failed to move top of Ligue 1 when they were held to a goalless draw in a dull game at Monaco on Monday.
Auxerre, who would have gone top with a win, stayed third but joined leaders Girondins Bordeaux and second-placed Montpellier on 56 points.
Montpellier and Auxerre have both played 30 matches but champions Bordeaux have two games in hand and must be considered the title favourites.
The best chances in a poor game were for Auxerre, notably with a header from defender Adama Coulibaly that went just wide in the first half.
