Kyrgyzstan rounded off their campaign in the five-nation Nehru Cup football tournament on a winning note, beating Sri Lanka 4-1 at the Ambedkar stadium on Friday.
The Central Asians exploited a weak Lankan defence to post their first victory in the tournament.
Zemlianuhin Anton opened the scoring for Kyrgyzstan in the 35th minute following a low cross from Minsharchenko Vadim.
A minute before half-time Ildar Amirov increased the lead, making the best of Vadim's through ball from just over the half-line.
The Sri Lankans returned more forceful in the second session and when Chathura Maduranga scored in the 53rd minute to pull a goal back for them it looked as if Kyrgyzstan had a fight on hand. But that was not to be.
Goals from Mirlan Murzaev (64th minute) and Rustem Usanov (69th minutes) wrote finish to the Lankan challenge.
