The Indian women's junior hockey team crashed out of the 7th Asia Cup after suffering a 2-3 defeat in penalty shootout against Japan in a nail-biting semi-final in Changzhou, China on Saturday.
Japan's Yukari Mano and Ayane Hirahara scored for their side to force a penalty shootout.
Japan then held their nerve to score in their final attempt to set up a summit clash against China on Sunday.
India will take on Korea for the third-place on Sunday.
