July 24, 2015 17:11 IST

Kerala Blasters have staged a coup of sorts and signed 22-year-old Spaniard Lluis Ribera Josu Currais for the second season of the Indian Super League.

The midfielder, who currently plies his trade for Polish top division club Gornik Leczna, is a product of Barcelona’s youth squad.

In other transfer news, Mumbai City FC announced on Friday that they have retained attacking Brazilian midfielder Andre Moritz for the next season.

Moritz was arguably the best foreign recruit of Mumbai City FC last season scoring 3 goals and being involved in a couple of assists in the seven matches he played.

With this signing, Moritz will yet again bring his world class ability, experience, contagious energy and enthusiasm to Mumbai City FC.

On returning to Mumbai City FC, Moritz said, "I'm overjoyed and thrilled to be back. The fans supported us till the very end last season and this year we want to give them enough occasions to cheer about. The team has a lot to prove this season and I am excited that I'm a part of Mumbai City FC again to ensure that it happens."

Moritz will team up with player-coach Nicolas Anelka and India National team captain Sunil Chhetri in the club that starts their campaign against FC Pune City on 5th October.
