India's disappointing performance in the Winter Olympic Games continued with Armyman Tashi Lundup finishing a distant 83rd in the men's 15km Free Cross-country Skiing event in Vancouver.
Lundup, making his maiden Olympic appearance, could not manage anything impressive and clocked an overall 41:36.8 in the event that was contested by 95 skiers at the Whistler Olympic Park.
Dario Cologna of Switzerland clocked 33:36.3 to bag the gold, while Italian Pietro P Cottrer (34:00.9) and Lukas Bauer (34:12.0) of Czech Republic claimed the silver and bronze respectively.
Earlier, compatriot luger Shiva Keshavan had finished a disappointing 29th in the disaster-hit men's category in the quadrennial event.
Embroiled in a uniform controversy, Keshavan clocked overall 3:18.473 after four runs to finish 29th out of the 38 athletes.
