Star striker Odafa Okolie failed to make an impact as Mohun Bagan were held goalless by ONGC in a dull Round 5 match of the I-League in Delhi on Friday.
Odafa, who seemed to have regained his scoring touch with a hat-trick in Bagan's 3-1 win over Sporting Clube-de-Goa in their previous outing, was closely marked by ONGC central defenders Robin Gurung and Hassan Mohammad Adeola, who was later adjudged man-of-the-match.
The Nigerian was denied the space and unable to display his usual sharpness as he failed to convert a couple of chances that came his way.
With two consecutive victories after back-to-back defeats, the Kolkata giants were looking for three full points, but the small die-hard Bagan supporters, who cheered Odafa when he entered the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium, returned disappointed.
India player, Syed Rahim Nabi was also subdued throughout the match and he wasted Mohun Bagan's best chance early in the second session.
Following the draw, Bagan have seven points from five matches while ONGC are with two points from five.
