TENNIS

Men's Doubles (1st Round):

Leander Paes/Rohan Bopanna lost to Marcin Makowski/Lukasz Kubot (Poland) 4-6, 6-7 (6-8).

Women's Doubles (1st round):

Sania Mirza/Prarthana Thombare lost to Shuai Zhang/Shuai Peng (China) 7-6(8-6), 5-7, 7-5

Women's Singles (1st Round):

Mouma Das lost to Daniela Dodean Monteiro (Romania) 2-11, 7-11, 7-11, 3-11.

Manika Batra lost to Katarzyna Franc-Grzybowska (Poland) 12-10, 6-11, 12-14, 11-8, 4-11, 12-14.

India’s national champion Sharath Kamal lost his 1st round match 8-11, 12-14, 11-9, 6-11, 8-11 to Romania’s Adrian Crisan as India's campaign ended in the first round. 

WEIGHT LIFTING

Mirabai Chanu Saikhom finishes 11th in the women's 48-kg event. She failed to lift in all three attempts of cleean and jerk.
