From the Mohawk look to the mushroom cut and even the pony tailed look, David Beckham has experimented with his hair on a number of occasions.

But here is something of a new style that the former England football captain is sporting these days, and it is not something that'll get him, his fans or his perfectly modeled wife, Victoria Beckham too excited.

The 36-year-old LA Galaxy midfielder was photographed with his latest style that didn't make for a pretty picture --  a bald patch.

Beckham was photographed at a restaurant in Los Angeles on Monday.

Earlier this year, rumours were abuzz that Beckham was supposed to undergo hair transplant surgery to rescue his thinning pate.

So, could those rumours turn reality after this hair-raising embarrassment? Over to Mr Beckham.
