Former world billiards champion Geet Sethi continued his brilliant run as he advanced to the seniors' quarter-finals with a thumping win over Cheung Sing of Hong Kong at the IBSF World Snooker championships in Manama, Bahrain, on Wednesday.
Sethi could not put together a strong break but still dominated the proceedings as he cruised to a 67-21, 62-65, 57-35, 62-18 54-22 victory over Sing in the last-16 round.
In the quarter-finals, the Indian ace will meet Ahmed Al Tekrit of Kuwait, who defeated Wael Talaat of Egypt 65-41, 75-22, 64-51, 38-62, 45-29.
Sethi is the lone Indian left in the reckoning for the championships in two categories.
Pankaj Advani and Aditya Mehta had earlier lost in the knock-out stage of the Under-21 championship.
