Paes-Dlouhy in second round

Leander Paes and his Czech partner Lukas Dlouhy sailed into the second round of the men's doubles at the French Open with a straight-sets win over locals Sebastien de Chaunac and Benoit Paire in Paris on Wednesday night.

The third seeds won 6-1, 6-3 and set up a clash with another unseeded duo -- James Cerretani and Sergiy Stakhovsky.

The Ukrainian-American pair defeated Spaniards Nicolas Almagro and Ivan Navarro 6-2, 4-6, 6-2 in another first round match.

Sania Mirza and Chia-Jung Chuang of Chinese Taipei (Taiwan) also sailed into the women's doubles second round after a 7-5, 6-1 victory over Ipek Senoglu of Turkey and Yanina Wickmayer of Belarus.

The 14th seeds next face the Polish pair of Agnieszka Radwanska and Urszula Radwanska, who beat Ukraine's Viktoriya Kutuzova and Aravane Rezai of France 6-2, 6-1. 

Sania bowed out of the singles competition, losing to Kazakhstan's Galina Voskoboeva in the first round on Tuesday.

India's Rohan Bopanna and Jonathan Elrich of Israel lost a tough first-round encounter to Guillermo Garcia-Lopez of Spain and Sergio Roitman of Argentina 4-6, 6-7 (10).
