Fransa Pax failed to take advantage of the chances they had in the first half and were forced to settle for goalless draw against Tollygunge in a ninth National Football League match in Margao, Goa, on Saturday.
Both teams failed to play an inspiring game. Dictating terms in the first half, Fransa created four scoring chances.
Sebastiao Endro had the first chance to score after defender Debkumar's clearance off Saikhon Singh came to him, but he drove the ball out with an empty net before him.
Joseph Ogor then was unlucky midway into the first half when his header hit the bar off Peter Rodrigues' cross. Ogor again missed an open chance as he drove the ball out from close.
Tollygunge, who beat Fransa in the first leg, played a safe game, packing more men in the defence after their humiliating defeat against Vasco in their last match here.
Tollygunge keeper Arindam Ghosh, who brought off two fine saves was declared the man of the match.
Fransa, with 22 points from 14 matches, are in fourth place, while Tollygunge took their total tally to 15 points from 14 matches.
Referee N Mohan showed yellow cards to Tollygunge's Gouranga Dutta, Suley Musah, Chinmoy Sarkar.
