Henry quits international football

France striker Thierry Henry has announced his retirement from international soccer, the BBC reported on Thursday.

The 32-year-old former Arsenal and Barcelona player, who signed for Major League Soccer (MLS) team the New York Redbulls on Wednesday, played only a bit part in France's dismal World Cup campaign in South Africa which ended at the group stage.
