Harvinder Singh scored a brace as JCT Mills, Phagwara, rallied to beat bottom-placed Indian Bank 3-1 in an eighth National Football league match in Ludhiana on Saturday.

The JCT team, missing the services of two stalwarts - I M Vijayan and Jo Paul Ancheri, were pushed on the backfoot in the 22nd minute when Mahendra Mani found the net for the visitors.

But the setback stirred the JCT forward line and they mounted attack after attack on the opposition goal. Their relentless aggression paid off as Harvinder equalised within just five minutes.

The medio came into thick of action once again in injury time as he sloted home the team's second goal to give JCT a 2-1 lead at the breather.

Stephen Abarowei completed the scoreline when he beat the Indian Bank custodian on a through pass from Harvinder.

With this victory JCT have 21 points from 12 matches while Indian Bank, yet to register a win, have two points thanks to draws against Mohammedan Sporting and East Bengal.
