Roger Federer and former tennis greats Pete Sampras, Martina Navratilova and Steffi Graf will play in exhibition matches on Friday to raise money for victims of the Haiti earthquake.
Federer and Sampras will take on Andre Agassi and Rafael Nadal in a men's encounter after Navratilova and Justine Henin have competed against Graf and Lindsay Davenport.
Organisers are hoping the "Hit for Haiti" charity matches at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden will raise $1 million for victims of the January 12 earthquake.
"It is impressive to see this remarkable line-up of athletes work together to raise much-needed funds for Haiti," tournament owner Larry Ellison, the billionaire software mogul and chief executive of Oracle, said in a statement.
"Our hope is to hold an event that supports relief efforts and continues to raise the visibility for how Haiti needs the world's help."
The Haiti earthquake is thought to have killed up to 300,000 people and left a million homeless.
