PSV go top as Den Haag stun Alkmaar

PSV Eindhoven brushed aside Roda JC Kerkrade 3-0 to edge clear at the top of the Dutch league on Saturday.

Hungarian Balazs Dzsudzsak put PSV on track after six minutes when he volleyed home a fine cross from Ibrahim Afellay.

Stanislav Manolev doubled the lead from close range early in the second half and in the final minute Otman Bakkal added a third.

After six matches PSV are top with 14 points, ahead of Twente Enschede on goal difference following their 3-2 home win over Utrecht.

AZ Alkmaar slipped from first to third, on 12 points, as they suffered a surprise 2-1 defeat at ADO Den Haag, who scored through Wesley Verhoek and Lex Immers. Jeremain Lens pulled one back five late on to no avail.

Fourth placed Feyenoord travel to face Willem II Tilburg on Sunday, while Ajax Amsterdam host NAC Breda.
