Jonathan de Guzman curled a free kick around the wall midway through the second half to earn Feyenoord a 3-2 win at Willem II Tilburg in the Dutch league on Sunday.
Playmaker Said Boutahar had put Tilburg ahead in the second minute but Jon Dahl Tomasson struck twice to turn the match in Feyenoord's favour before Bart Biemans levelled from close range before the interval.
Feyenoord are second with 14 points after six matches, behind PSV Eindhoven on goal difference after the leaders beat beat Roda JC Kerkrade 3-0 on Saturday. The top two meet in Rotterdam next Sunday.
Third-placed Twente Enschede are also on 14 points, one ahead of Ajax Amsterdam who thrashed NAC Breda 6-0 on Sunday. Champions AZ Alkmaar slipped to fifth with 12 points following a 2-1 defeat at ADO Den Haag on Saturday.
Dario Cvitanich scored a hat-trick for Ajax after opening the scoring in the 11th minute, while Jan Vertonghen, Luis Suarez and Kennedy Bakircioglu completed the rout.
Newcomers VVV-Venlo registered their first win, beating Heracles Almelo 1-0 after five successive draws.
