Divij Sharan and Purav Raja squandered a superb start and bowed out of the ATP Challenger in Furth, Germany, after losing to local favourites Kevin Krawietz and Dominic Schulz in the quarter-finals.
The third seeded Indian pair raced to a 4-1 lead in the first set, but surprisingly collapsed thereafter and lost 5-7, 3-6.
The inability to convert break-points cost the Indians dear; they could cash in on just two of the seven chances that came their way.
On the other hand, their opponents were quick to grab opportunities, converting seven out of 10 chances.
The other three seeded pairs also lost in the quarter-finals, leaving the draw open for the remaining teams.
