Real Madrid football star Cristiano Ronaldo has donated a whopping 7 million euros ($7.78m) to the Save the Children foundation’s efforts in Nepal following the deadly earthquake last month.

According to reports in So Foot, the Portuguese captain made the donation after earlier calling on his 100 million Facebook followers to support the charity

Ronaldo has in the past worked with Unicef and World Vision.

Last year, just before the FIFA World Cup in Brazil, it was reported that he had paid for a 10-month-old boy’s brain surgery.
