Rio Olympic silver medallist PV Sindhu produced a brilliant performance to beat Olympic and World Champion Carolina Marin 21-19, 21-16 in India Open final.
Sindhu could not have found a better place to do it. In front of her home crowd, Sindhu beat the Rio champion in straight games to claim her first India Open and better her head-to-head record to 5-4.
The win by Sindhu was in dominating style as she let Marin lead the match only once.
