The Indian duo of Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi will take on the winner of the match between Serbs Janko Tipsarevic-Viktor Troicki and the Spanish combo of Marc Lopez-Rafael Nadal in the second round of the ATP Western and Southern Open in Cincinnati.
Paes-Bhupathi, who got a bye into the second round, are seeded third.
Another Indian in the second round is Rohan Bopanna. He and Pakistani partner Aisam-ul-haq Qureshi also got a bye.
The fifth seed Indo-Pak pair will meet the Argentine duo of Juan Ignacio Chela and Juan Monaco, who overcame the challenge of Austria's Oliver Marach-Belgium's Dick Norman 6-4, 3-6, 10-6 in their opening round match.
No Indian is competing in the singles main draw.
Somdev Devvarman failed to cross the tournament's qualifying round. The 65-ranked player was beaten 4-6, 6-7(3) by Turkey's Marsel Ilhan, ranked 108.
