"Internacional and Tottenham signed this Monday the terms of an option for the sale of midfielder Sandro to the English club," Inter said on their website (www.internacional.com.br).
Sandro is a rising star in Brazilian football, having led the Under-20 team to the South American title at a tournament in Venezuela last year.
The 21-year-old, who earned one cap as a substitute against Chile in a World Cup qualifier last September, left for London on Monday for medical tests though media reports in Porto Alegre said he would not join the Premier League side until August.
