Rohan Bopanna and his partner from Pakistan Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi, on Wednesday, advanced to the quarterfinals of men's doubles in the 600,000 euro Stockholm Open tennis tournament.
The top-seeded Indo-Pak pair beat Julian Knowle of Austria and Poland's Lukasz Kubot 6-4, 6-4 to start their campaign on a positive note.
They will play the winner of the opening round match between Germany's Michael Kohlmann and Alexander Waske and wildcard duo of Martin Emmrich of Germany and Andreas Siljestrom of Sweden.
Bopanna and Qureshi, who had won the Gerry Weber Open in Halle, Germany earlier this year, are currently No.7 for Battle for London -- the ATP World Tour Finals next month -- with just three qualifying spots left for grabs.
