American James Blake quickly finished off his rain-delayed first round match with Taylor Dent 6-1, 3-6, 6-3 at the Delray Beach International tennis tournament on Wednesday.
The seventh seed was one game away from winning a day earlier when the match was halted due to rain. He took less than a minute to wrap it up on Wednesday.
"That was quick," Blake said. "It's a different situation than you're used to when getting ready for a match."
A two-time finalist of the event, Blake moves on to face Robin Haase in the second round.
In other action, Argentina's Leonardo Mayer upset No 6 seed Florian Mayer 6-4, 7-6.
