Indian ace Mahesh Bhupathi and Max Mirnyi sailed into the second round of the men's doubles at Wimbledon, scoring a straight-set victory over the Argentine duo of Maximo Gonzalez and Sebastian Prieto in London on Thursday.
The fourth-seeded Indo-Belarus pair won 7-5, 6-1, 7-5.
They now meet the British duo of Jamie Delgado and Joshua Goodall in the second round.
The Jamie-Joshua duo beat the Spanish pair of Nicolas Almagro and Santiago Ventura 5-7, 7-6, 6-1 6-3 in another opening round match.
Two other Indians are also in the fray in the doubles.
Leander Paes and his Czech partner Lukas Dlouhy, seeded third in the grass court Grand Slam, won their opening round match over South African Rik De Voest and Germany's Mischa Zverev 6-7(4), 6-4, 6-3.
Rohan Bopanna and his Pakistani partner Aisam-Ul Haq Qureshi had defeated the pair of Somdev Devvarman of India and Treat Conrad Huey of Philippines in the first round.
