Mahesh Bhupathi crashed out of the 2.1-million euro ATP Tennis Masters in Hamburg after a numbing first round defeat.
Bhupathi and American Robby Ginepri, went down to wild card entrants Rainer Schuettler and Michael Kohlmann 6-4, 7-6(2) in the second-last major event before the French Open Grand Slam, beginning May 29 at Roland Garros, Paris.
