Barcelona's Xavi gets hitched in low-key affair

In a low-key ceremony, Barcelona and Spain's star mid-fielder, Xavi Hernandez married his girlfriend of one-and-a-half years, Nuria Cunillera, on Saturday.

Xavi's nuptials took place at the local vicinity of Blanes in Girona, Catalonia, and the couple will spend their honeymoon in the islands of Seychelles, it has been reported.

The 33-year-old midfielder, who was shortlisted to win the FIFA World Player of the Year award thrice after winning the World Cup and Euro 2008 with Spain is a very private person and none of his teammates were aware of this development until three months ago.
