Riding on her title-triumph at the Malaysia Masters Grand Prix Gold, India's P V Sindhu, on Thursday, jumped one place to be just outside the top 10 in the latest BWF ranking.
Sindhu, who made a resounding start to the new season by winning the Malaysia Masters last Sunday, is now at the 11th spot with 54,380 points in the women's singles ranking, where Saina Nehwal holds the second position.
In men's singles, Kidambi Srikanth and H S Prannoy were static at World No 9 and 20 respectively but Parupalli Kashyap improved a place while Ajay Jayaram slipped four places to be at the World No 25 spot.
Glasgow Commonwealth Games silver medallist Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa were steady at World No 14, while men's doubles pair of Manu Attri and B Sumeeth Reddy were at the 17th position.
Among others, B Sai Praneeth was at World No 34, while Sameer Verma and RMV Gurusaidutt were just inside the top 50 at the 46th and 47th spot respectively.
