Former national champion Abhinn Shyam Gupta crashed out in the first round of the Thailand Open Badminton Championship in Bangkok, on Wednesday.
The Allahabad-based shuttler went down to seventh seed Neils Christian Kaldau of Denmark 15-3, 15-8.
Gupta was the only Indian participant in the tournament.
