India's Somdev Devvarman and Prakash Amritraj crashed out of the Australian Open with a disappointing 6-1, 6-3 loss to Simon Aspelin of Sweden and Australian Paul Hanley at Melbourne Park on Friday.
The Aspelin-Hanley pair dominated the game right from the outset, so much so that, the Indian pair didn't get a break point in the entire match.
Somdev and Amritraj committed many unforced errors, and never looked in the groove. While, Aspelin, a former doubles winner here, brought all his experience, to move into the third round of the Australian Open.
Sania Mirza, who lost here singles campaign, earlier on Wednesday, starts her doubles campaign with Spain's Virginia Ruano Pascual, as the duo takes on Switzerland's Timea Bacsinszky and Italy's Tathiana Garbin, later in the day.
