Angelique Kerber, who recently won the Australian Open, has revealed that she has lost track of her maiden Grand Slam title and that she is eagerly waiting to get hold of the coveted trophy at her hometown in Germany.

After pulling off an upset win over defending champion Serena Williams in the final, the 28-year-old German opted to send back the trophy to Europe instead of carrying the heavy silverware in her hand luggage on her flight back to Germany.

Kerber revealed that she was not aware of the location of her trophy and said that she has a tracking number of the item through which she was hoping to get it back in the coming days.

Since her Australian Open triumph, Kerber played in Germany's Fed Cup World Group first-round defeat to Switzerland last weekend when she beat Timea Bacsinszky.
