Arjun Atwal kept his good form going with a fine three-under 69 that saw him total four-under 140 in two rounds and make it to the weekend rounds of the US Bank Golf Championships of Milwaukee.

The Kolkata star has now made the cut in all 12 starts, and is currently tied 31st, as play was interrupted the second round once again.

Daniel Chopra was tied 19th, but has played only 12 holes in one-under in second round. Chopra carded a four-under 68 in first round.

Atwal started the day at one-under and needed a good round to make the cut, which is expected to go at two-under.

Starting his second round with a bogey, he birdied the sixth, but was thereafter struggling with his putts and turned in even par and one-under for the tournament.

On the back nine, Atwal found his rhythm and drilled a birdie on the tenth to give himself confidence. On the 13th, he knocked in a 13-foot putt for another birdie and another one on the final hole saw him make it to three-under for the day and four-under for 36 holes.

He had 28 putts in his round.

Meanwhile, Ben Crane, known as a slow player, played fast for a change and managed to beat the rain, which interrupted play once more. As a leader assured of a late tee time in third round, he did not want to return early to Brown Deer Park first thing Saturday morning to play just one hole of his second round.

So, he found himself running between shots and conspiring with playing partners Corey Pavin and Kenny Perry to make sure they did not have to set the alarm clock.

Crane carded a 5-under 65 to maintain his lead. Crane's 13-under 127 total is two shots better than Scott Verplank and four better than Tommy Armour III and Chris Smith. Verplank had to play 32 holes Friday and he carded a 64-65 for an 11-under 129.

Jeff Sluman was at 11-under and waiting to tee off on his last hole when play was suspended. He was one of 55 players who will have to return on Saturday morning to finish before start of third round.
