As the pre-season testing for the Formula Two championship is all set to begin in Silverstone, India's upcoming racer Armaan Ebrahim is hoping to improve on his podium finish ratio this year.
It will be Armaan's third season in F2 having finished 10th in the 2010 championship with one podium finish.
He will be testing at the hallowed Silverstone track on Tuesday and then at Snetterton on March 30.
"I have been training hard during the off-season. The GP2 testing in October last year was a big help and I look forward to a new season while aiming for at least a top-3 finish in the championship if not win it," he said on the eve of testing.
The first of the eight rounds of the 2011 Championship is at Silverstone on April 15-17.
"Overall, I was quite happy with my performance last year although it could have been better. At one stage, I was running sixth in the championship, but a few retirements in the second half of the season cost me valuable points," Armaan said while looking back at the 2010 season.
Armaan had made his debut in 2009 and had finished 17th then in the championship.
