Hosts Dempo SC went down tamely 0-4 to Nasaf FC of Uzbekistan in a Group-A encounter of the AFC Challenge Cup, at the Balewadi Sports Complex, in Pune, on Tuesday.
The Uzbeks were off to a dream start, scoring two goals in just 15 minutes, which put the I-League champions on the backfoot.
Ilhom Unisov drew first blood for the visitors in the fourth minute, while Lutfulla Turaev added another goal in the 11th.
Two goals up at the break, the Uzbeks got their third goal in the 72nd minute when Mirhoidirshaev Shuhratbek found the target and Perrepotkins Andrejs rounded off the rout in the 84th minute.
Nasaf consolidated their position at the top of Group A with nine points from three games, while Dempo have just three from as many matches.
