Chelsea have agreed a compensation package with sacked Brazilian manager Luiz Felipe Scolari and his assistants, the Premier League club said on Tuesday.

Although no details were given, media reports have suggested Scolari could walk away with at least 7.5 million pounds.

"Chelsea...can confirm that compensation has been agreed today with Luiz Felipe Scolari in accordance with the terms of his contract," the West London club said on their website (http://www.chelseafc.com ).

"Agreement was also reached with his backroom staff, Flavio Teixeira, Darlan Schneider and Carlos Pracidelli and we would like to thank them for their work at Chelsea."

Scolari, a World Cup-winning coach with Brazil, was dismissed on Monday after seven months in charge and the club have approached Russia's Dutch coach Guus Hiddink to replace him.
