Top seeds Mike and Bob Bryan continued the American flop show at this year's French Open when they were knocked out of the men's doubles competition in the quarter-finals on Monday.
The 2003 champions were beaten by the Uruguayan-Peruvian pairing of Pablo Cuevas and Luis Horna 6-3, 5-7, 7-6.
Their defeat compounded a miserable day for the United States after Robby Ginepri also bowed out when he was beaten in the men's fourth round by Fernando Gonzalez of Chile.
Ginepri was the sole American to reach the last 16 in either singles draw.
