India on Wednesday announced a four-member team with Sania Mirza as the spearhead for the Fed Cup Asia/Oceania Group I & II matches scheduled in Bangkok from January 28-February 3.
Apart from Sania, Sunitha Rao, Isha Lakhani and Tara Iyer have been named in the squad, which would have Enrico Piperno as the coach-cum-manager, selection committee chairman Anil Dhupar said in a statement.
Besides India, the participating nations include Australia, China, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, Indonesia, New Zealand, Thailand and Uzbekistan.
