India added two gold and one silver medal to its kitty at the second Indoor Asian Games in Macau, with Grandmaster Krishnan Sasikiran and Koneru Humpy winning gold in individual Blitz chess and Geet Sethi grabbing second place in billiards singles.
Sasikiran earned his second gold medal when he defeated Kazhgaleyev Murtas of Kazakhstan to top the podium in individual Blitz Chess. Sasikiran had earlier won gold in individual Rapid Chess.
Humpy bagged the gold in the individual Blitz women's section by beating Qatar's Chen Zhu, who took the silver.
The bronze medal in Blitz men's category was won by China's Bu Xiangzhi while Vietnam's Pham Bich came third in the women's section.
In cue sports, Thailand's Prapr Chaithanasakun won the gold medal in men's billiards singles while Geet Sethi settled for silver. The bronze in this section went to Singapore's Peter Gilchrist Edwa.
India's medal tally thus swelled to eight gold, seven silver and six bronze. India is in sixth place in the medal standings.
China, with 50 gold, 23 silver and 23 bronze lead the medals tally, followed by Thailand (14-24-21) and Hong Kong (13-9-9).
