Federer seeks to look cool

June 25, 2007 12:02 IST

Roger Federer will hope to look cool and keep warm as he starts his quest for a record-equalling fifth successive Wimbledon title on Monday.

The world number one has promised to unveil a new blazer for his opening match against Russian Teimuraz Gabashvili and with temperatures expected to hover around 17 degrees celsius, Federer will be glad to slip into something comfortable.

"It's actually good I've got something warm to wear," the top seed said as he prepared for his bid to match Bjorn Borg's record of five successive Wimbledon titles.

Last year the Swiss got the fashionistas buzzing when he walked on court in a stylish cream blazer which bore a crest to signify his hat-trick of Wimbledon victories from 2003-05.

Federer's 2006 jacket in the All England Club museum could turn out to be the main attraction on day one of Wimbledon with rain expected to wash out most of Monday's schedule.
