Murray to return from injury at Legg Mason Classic

July 19, 2007 10:58 IST
Briton Andy Murray will return from injury at the Legg Mason Tennis Classic in Washington at the end of July after being given the all-clear by his doctor.

"Washington's where I'm gonna play next," said the Scot, who has slipped to 14th in the world rankings having not played since hurting his wrist at the Hamburg Masters in May.

"Bottom line is I'm getting

much better. My wrist's responded really well to all the treatment, and the careful approach I've taken with it," the 20-year-old added on his personal website (www.andymurray.com) on Thursday.

Murray, who will travel to the U.S. this weekend, missed the French Open and Wimbledon because of the injury and had hoped to return in Los Angeles this week before delaying his comeback.
