India's Shikha Uberoi entered the doubles semi-final partnering Melinda Czink of Hungary at the USD 175,000 WTA Sunfeast Open in Kolkata on Friday.
Uberoi and Czink got the better of the Australian Nicole Pratt and Russia's Anastassia Rodionova 7-6 (8-6), 3-6, 6-4 in a gruelling three setter that stretched to over two and half hours at the Netaji Indoor Stadium.
The winners would now take on the Ukranian team of Beygelzimer and Yuliana Fedak for a berth in the final.
Shikha had combined with her sister Neha to reach the final of the maiden editionĀ of the tournament last year before losing out to the top-seeded Russian player Anastasia Myskina and Elena Likhovtseva.
