After winning the silver medal at the 15th Asian Games in Doha on Sunday, ace long jumper Anju Bobby George said a leg injury cost her the gold in the event.
"Today my body was not going so well, so I could not do well," Anju said after the event.
"There was some trouble. I hurt my leg on the first jump but anyway, I managed a silver and I think it's okay," she said.
Anju praised the crowd for supporting her and said, "I have been coming here for the last four years and they have always been supporting me. They are all from my native place Kerala. Thirty members of my family are here."
Anju said she would now concentrate on her training for the 2008 Olympic Games to be held in Beijing.
"From tomorrow, we will start training for Beijing," she said.
"I had enough training before coming here but did not get enough competition." she said, adding there is always pressure on her to win the gold at every event that she participates.
"We are always facing the same pressure in all competitions. My country expected me to win the gold and I also wanted the gold and not the silver medal," she added.
