Bhullar moves to seventh

Two birdies in the last three holes gave Gaganjeet Bhullar a fine card of two-under 70 for the second successive day to be within striking distance of a medal at the par 72 Doha Golf Club in Doha on Saturday.

Bhullar, with an aggregate of four-under 140 is the best placed Indian. He is six shots behind leader Kim Do Hoon Sr, who turned in a brilliant seven-under 65 to be 10-under 134 for 36 holes

"We are doing better and better. We have a chance of winning the silver. To get the silver we have to focus on the greens and go for the pins," said Bhullar, who hopes to turn professional soon.

Meghna Bal (70) was best placed Indian among the women at seventh spot with five-under 141.

The Indian men's and women's teams were fourth in their sections.

The men were just one shot behind third-placed Japan, while the Indian women (286) were nine shots behind third placed Chinese Taipei (277). Korea (271) and Japan (273) were occupying first and second positions.

The men's team was lying fourth with 421, just one shot behind Japan (420). The leading team was Korea at 413 and Taipei was two behind at 415.

Overnight men's leader Pan Cheng Tsung of Taipei slipped to second following a 71 he was three behind the leader. Japan's Ito Yuki was third at two-under 138.
