A goal by Brazilian Jose Ramirez Barreto helped Mahindra United beat JCT Mills, Phagwara, 1-0 in the 10th National Football League match at Guru Nanak Stadium in Ludhiana on Saturday.
This win took Mahindras' tally to 23 points and they are now just one point behind current NFL leaders East Bengal.
Barreto scored the lone goal via a header in the 56th minute off a Sushanth pass from the right flank.
JCT's Brazilian import Marcos Pereira was adjudged man of the match.
