The unseeded pair of Mahesh Bhupathi and Martin Damm caused the biggest upset of the tournament, upstaging top seeded Bryan brothers -- Bob and Mike -- in doubles first round of the Madrid Masters on Wednesday.
The Indo-Czech pair staved off the American challenge, to clinch the game 6-3, 6-7(8), 6-2.
With this win, Bhupathi and Damm set up a second round clash with Leander Paes and Nenad Zimonjic who had defeated the American pair of Taylor Dent and Robby Ginepri 6-1, 1-6, 7-6(4).
